Biography of the Ambassador.

Ambassador Jama Abdullahi Mohamed, born 10th October 1967, is an accredited ICT engineer, business developer, and entrepreneur who has initiated a number of successful multisector business ventures in Somalia, Middle East and East Africa for the last three decades.

He has previously served UN Agencies including UNDP Somalia. He was also Chairman of executive board Committee of Nugaal University – Lasanod.

Ambassador Jama has spent a large portion of his career on community service, humanitarian work, development of education and conflict resolution initiatives in Puntland and Somaliland regions. This is also significant for the humanitarian cooperation involving Somalia and Turkey.

Ambassador Jama is currently a Ph.D. Candidate and an MBA Graduate in Project Management from Open University of Malaysia (OUM).

He is a qualified Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and has completed Advanced VSAT Installation and Maintenance Certification (Level 3S).

He brings with him a wealth of leadership, humanitarian, entrepreneurial experience to strengthen ties between the two nations at a time when the trade Diplomacy between Turkey and Somalia is on a solid rise.

H.E President Mohamed Farmaajo appointed H.E Ambassador Jama Abdullahi Mohamed as Present Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador for the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Turkey in May 2017. Ambassador Jama Abdullahi Mohamed officially presented his letter of credence to Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex on 16th August 2017.
